Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-03-2026

End Date: 09-02-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Assess and treat patients with diverse conditions including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological diagnoses
Develop individualized rehabilitation plans for acute inpatient recovery
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Document progress and adjust treatment approaches based on patient response

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapy license required
BLS certification needed
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience essential
Strong assessment and rehabilitation skills

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and treatment planning
Rehabilitation techniques for medical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions
Acute care physical therapy protocols
Interdisciplinary collaboration and communication
