Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-02-2026

End Date: 09-01-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Assess and treat diverse patient populations including post-surgical, orthopedic, stroke, and medically complex cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Develop individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and independence
Mentor and guide patients through their rehabilitation journey with compassion and expertise

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Strong clinical skills across orthopedic, neurological, and medical patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient physical therapy expertise
Experience with total joint replacements, spinal surgery, and stroke recovery
Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload of 12+ patients per day
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfort working across multiple hospital departments
