Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct pharmacy operations across assigned sites, overseeing clinical, operational, and financial performance.
• Assist the director of pharmacy with development and implementation of policies, procedures, QA programs, and performance standards.
• Lead budgeting, planning, and operational initiatives to meet productivity and patient-outcome targets.
• Foster strong working relationships with medical staff and cross-functional hospital teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Oversee pharmacy information management systems, patient charge systems, and inventory control processes.
• Chair or participate in committees (Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Safety, Information Systems, Patient Medication Safety, Nursing/Pharmacy) to influence system-wide practice.
• Perform human resources duties including hiring, performance evaluations, promotions, coaching, corrective actions, and staff development.
• Continuously monitor operational metrics and adjust plans to maintain compliance, efficiency, and partner engagement.
• Step in as pharmacy manager when needed and perform day-to-day leadership responsibilities across sites.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college or university.
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent work experience.
• Active Wisconsin pharmacist license (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience (as stated).
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and drive quality and compliance initiatives.
• Strong committee participation and stakeholder engagement experience.

Education

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a PharmD degree
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent experience
