Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse during assigned shifts
- Administer medications accurately and document all care in the medical record
- Monitor patients' condition and promptly report changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and daily care activities to ensure smooth transitions
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to maintain high standards of care
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and follow facility policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (Georgia license required or eligibility to obtain one)
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Demonstrated clinical skills in medication administration and basic nursing care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a care team
- Previous LPN experience in acute or long-term care preferred
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and basic clinical monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Infection control and safe patient handling
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
