Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the day shift
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and document patient status clearly
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
- Monitor patients' conditions and escalate concerns promptly
- Assist with safe patient transfers and basic nursing procedures
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and handoffs at shift change
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in the state of Maryland (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Previous experience in a clinical nursing role preferred
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing assessment and intervention skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and vital sign monitoring
- Good clinical judgment and patient advocacy
- Familiarity with electronic health record charting
