Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-13-2026

End Date: 09-12-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with rotational call after hours and weekend call (Friday 4 pm through Monday 7:30 am)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform interventional radiology procedures using advanced imaging equipment such as GE Innova, MedRad Injector, GE Logic Book, and Angiojet
Assist radiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for a variety of patients (no pediatrics, includes inmate population)
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout exams
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in Cerner and Radnet
Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 coverage for the IR department

Qualifications

ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required; Vascular Interventional (VI) certification strongly preferred
Experience with Cerner and Radnet electronic medical record systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with GE Innova, MedRad Injector, GE Logic Book, and Angiojet equipment
Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures including dialysis catheter placements, IVC filters, TIPS, and CT-guided biopsies
Excellent communication and patient care skills
