IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-13-2026

End Date: 09-12-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with rotational after-hours call and weekend call (Friday 4:00 PM - Monday 7:30 AM)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform interventional radiology procedures including dialysis cath, IVC, TIPPS, and CT biopsies
Operate advanced imaging equipment such as GE Innova, MedRad Injector, and GE Logic Book
Assist radiologists with various IR cases and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
Document procedures accurately in CERNER and RADNET EMR systems
Maintain sterile technique and manage equipment troubleshooting
Collaborate with transport and nursing staff to coordinate patient care

Qualifications

ARRT certification required; VI certification preferred
Proven experience in interventional radiology
Proficiency with CERNER and RADNET EMR systems
Ability to work with diverse patient populations including inmate population

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of GE Innova, MedRad Injector, GE Logic Book, and Angiojet equipment
Skilled in performing dialysis cath, IVC, TIPPS, CT BX procedures
Understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
