IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-12-2026

End Date: 09-11-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with rotational call after hours and weekend call (Friday 4 PM - Monday 7:30 AM)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform interventional radiology procedures using GE Innova, MedRad Injector, and other advanced equipment
Support two campuses by providing high-quality imaging and patient care
Collaborate with a team of IR Technologists, RNs, and Radiologists to complete 2-4 cases per day
Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner and Radnet EMR systems
Participate in on-call rotations for nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous coverage
Assist with a variety of procedures including dialysis cath, IVC, TIPPS, and CT biopsies

Qualifications

ARRT certification (RT)(R) required; VI certification preferred
Experience with Cerner and Radnet EMR systems
Proficiency in using GE Innova, MedRad Injector, GE Logic Book, and Angiojet equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of patient types, including adults and inmates
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to participate in on-call scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and equipment
Skilled in using Cerner and Radnet for documentation and image management
Familiarity with GE Innova, MedRad Injector, and Angiojet technologies
Understanding of radiation safety and sterile techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
