Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and recognize arrhythmias promptly to help guide care
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for telemetry patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document all care in the EHR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient plans
• Perform focused assessments, escalate changes in condition, and intervene as needed
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, monitoring, and self-care before discharge

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in California
• Telemetry experience preferred; recent telemetry/medical-surgical experience helpful
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
• Strong clinical assessment skills, attention to detail, and effective communication
• Ability to work nights and provide safe overnight care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation practices
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and basic acute care procedures
• Critical thinking, prioritization, and collaborative team communication
• Patient education and family-centered care approaches
