Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Friday through Monday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Hours per Week: 20

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound exams and sonograms to assist radiologists and physicians in diagnosing patients
Provide patient care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
Explain procedures to patients and families, gaining their trust and cooperation
Position patients and instruct on breathing techniques for optimal imaging
Obtain and correlate patient history and clinical data to facilitate diagnostic results
Evaluate and interpret ultrasound images, exercising discretion and judgment
Maintain equipment quality and perform infection control measures
Document exam results and manage patient information in PACS
Respond to on-call duties as scheduled to ensure 24/7 coverage

Qualifications

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
ARDMS (RVT) certification required
Six months of ultrasound experience preferred
Must be registry eligible for diagnostic medical sonography

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ultrasound, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound
Proficiency in PACS for image management
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
