Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and report vital signs, observing and documenting changes in condition
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow facility protocols
Participate in care planning and collaborate to promote resident dignity and independence

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass a background check
Comfortable working in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completed CNA program and state certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of resident care standards and infection control practices
Skill in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs and intake/output
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Basic charting and documentation competence
