Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and dignity-focused support
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding)
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Document care delivered in facility records and communicate with nursing staff
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (PA) or eligible for state certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required facility screenings
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-player mindset
- Reliable transportation and punctuality to meet scheduled shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital signs and observation/reporting of clinical changes
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Infection prevention and standard precautions
- Clear documentation and basic computer/charting skills
- Effective interpersonal communication with residents and team members
