Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate occupational therapy support to patients in a skilled nursing setting
Implement treatment plans designed by the OT to help patients regain independence
Document patient progress and adjust interventions under supervision
Educate patients and families on functional exercises and adaptive techniques
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment

Qualifications

Current California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license
Completion of an accredited COTA program
Valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association
At least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of OT treatment modalities and documentation standards
Ability to adapt to different patient needs and conditions
Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Empathy and patience in working with elderly or rehab patients
