Location: Smethport, PA
Start Date: 04-05-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 8-hour shift, specific start/end times and days to be confirmed (8 hours total per shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes in patient condition
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility assistance with proper technique
- Document care activities clearly and timely in the patient record
- Communicate with nurses and the care team to help coordinate excellent resident care
- Create a respectful, comfortable environment that preserves dignity and promotes wellbeing
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania certification preferred)
- Comfortable providing hands-on resident care and assisting with ADLs
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work an 8-hour shift
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Accurate, timely charting and communication with clinical staff
- Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
