Location: Wausau, Wisconsin

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Evening shift, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, 40 hours per week, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 - $32.9 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to residents including feeding, mobility support, and personal hygiene
Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning using gait belts, mechanical lifts, and other aids
Monitor and report changes in resident physical, emotional, or cognitive status to the licensed nurse
Document care accurately in electronic medical records and maintain a clean, safe environment
Support residents during mealtimes and activities, fostering a homelike atmosphere
Follow infection control protocols and ensure resident rights are respected

Qualifications

Current CNA certification on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry
Active BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNA
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and support residents safely
Comfortable using electronic medical records systems

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of skilled nursing, long-term care, and dementia care
Experience with restorative exercises and range-of-motion techniques
Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
Proficiency in electronic medical records documentation
Strong communication and teamwork skills
