Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any clinical changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and use of mobility aids
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate clearly in shift handoffs
• Support infection control practices and keep patient areas clean and safe
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families while preserving dignity and privacy
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or ability to obtain quickly
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Comfort and experience working overnight shifts and handling physically active roles
• Strong communication skills and a positive, patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection prevention and basic wound care protocols
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting care
• Ability to recognize and escalate changes in patient condition
• Team-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused in busy clinical settings
