Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in scrub, monitor, and circulating roles during cardiac catheterization and EP procedures
• Provide expert support during STEMI cases, cardiogenic shock interventions, CAD/PAD procedures, and atrial fibrillation/flutter treatments
• Prepare and maintain the cath lab suite, instruments, and supplies for efficient case flow across 2 cath suites, 2 EP suites and 1 hybrid room
• Collaborate with cardiologists and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in EPIC
• Respond to call assignments within a 30-minute window and support weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing competency training

Qualifications

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI required
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) required or obtain Colorado Fluoroscopy License if ARRT (R) not held
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant cath lab/cardiovascular lab experience
• Experience with STEMI management and cardiovascular procedures; Electrophysiology (EP) experience strongly preferred
• Ability to meet a 30-minute call response time and submit a valid driver’s license (60-mile radius requirement)

Education

• BSN not required
• Relevant technical training or certification in cardiovascular invasive technology (RCIS) or radiologic technology (ARRT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in scrub, monitor, and circulating roles in a high-volume cardiac cath/EP environment
• Familiarity with cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Proficient with EPIC charting and documentation workflows
• Comfortable managing STEMI and cardiogenic shock patients and supporting rapid interventions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced trauma level 1 acute care setting and prioritize multiple cases per day
