Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric populations during cardiovascular procedures
• Provide holistic support addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs in a surgical environment
• Collaborate closely with physicians, offering real-time updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and ready
• Manage supplies and inventory to ensure the Cath Lab team has everything needed for efficient workflow
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with rapid response to changes
• Continuously assess and document patient condition, maintaining thorough records
• Support quality initiatives and participate in performance improvement activities

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nursing (RN) license in the state of Illinois required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications upon hire and maintained throughout employment
• Minimum one year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care area required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in patient care, monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficiency in cardiac procedures and critical care skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with physicians and teams
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced procedural environment
