Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in general cardiothoracic and thoracic surgeries including on-pump coronary artery bypass and valvular procedures
• Provide comprehensive management of adult patients in acute care and ICU settings
• Perform essential procedures such as central line insertion and evaluation of acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care across hospital and clinic environments
• Support the practice by rounding and providing clinic assistance as needed to ensure full-scope patient coverage

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner with active credentials
• Cardiothoracic surgery experience in both the operating room and patient management in acute care and ICU settings
• Current or ability to obtain Washington state license during credentialing
• Clean malpractice and background history highly preferred
• Willingness to work full capacity including OR assistance, rounding, and clinic support

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in open general CV/thoracic surgery and on-pump coronary artery bypass procedures
• Experience with valvular repair and replacement techniques
• Familiarity with preferred procedures such as aneurysm repair, lung resection including VATS, and LVAD management
• Strong skills in ventilation management and acute patient care coordination
• Comfort working with EPIC electronic medical records
