Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients and their families
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor hemodynamics, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and titrate drips per orders with vigilant attention to safety
• Operate and troubleshoot critical care equipment including ventilators and infusion pumps
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient plans
• Document care clearly and accurately in the medical record to ensure continuity and quality
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement and contribute ideas to elevate care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas (or compact RN license) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Strong critical thinking and the ability to respond calmly in high-acuity situations
• Ability to travel and commit to a 13-week contract assignment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in critical care assessment and monitoring
• Comfort with ventilator management and titration of vasoactive drips
• Skilled in advanced cardiac monitoring and interpreting telemetry
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-pressure environments
• Accurate clinical documentation and time management
