Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, feeding and transfers while maintaining dignity
• Take and record vital signs and observe patients for changes in condition
• Document care accurately and communicate patient status to the nursing team
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Support efficient patient flow by assisting with admissions, discharges and transfers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (California) required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care settings preferred
• Ability to pass background check and health screening (TB/PPD as required)
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a 12-hour day shift

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in basic patient care, ADLs and mobility assistance
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Comfortable with charting and basic electronic health record use
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Teamwork, time management and prioritization skills
• Clear communication with patients, families and clinical staff
