Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility support
• Maintain cleanliness and comfort of patient rooms and common areas
• Follow care plans and document interventions accurately and timely
• Support a positive patient experience by communicating respectfully and empathetically
• Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity of care during shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in California (required)
• Valid CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and TB screening
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and handling physical patient care
• Previous experience as a CNA in a clinical or long-term care setting is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, feeding, bathing, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety procedures
• Ability to accurately document care in electronic or paper charts
• Comfortable with time management and prioritizing patient needs
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with transfer aids and safe patient handling techniques
