Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality external beam radiation treatment plans using Eclipse and department protocols
• Present and explain treatment plans to Radiation Oncologists, ensuring clinical clarity and safety
• Perform routine and department-level quality assurance on planning and delivery systems
• Collaborate with therapists, physicists, and physicians to support ~60 patients on treatment
• Supervise and coordinate with Radiation Therapists as needed and contribute to workflow improvements
• Document plans and patient interactions accurately within ARIA and EPIC charting systems

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) — required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — required
• Minimum ~2 years relevant experience (per job posting) in dosimetry/radiation therapy planning
• Proven experience with Eclipse treatment planning and Varian ARIA record & verify
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR, PACS, MIM, Radformation preferred
• Valid driver’s license at time of submittal (used to confirm compliance with 50-mile radius rule)
• Willingness to comply with department policies (e.g., artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas)
• Not currently employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) with any facility associated with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

• External beam planning: 3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SBRT
• Experience with proton therapy concepts and brachytherapy workflows (familiarity a plus)
• Use of Varian TruBeam and Edge platforms for planning coordination
• Strong QA mindset and attention to detail for treatment safety
• Effective communication skills for presenting plans to Radiation Oncologists and coordinating care
• Comfortable working in a busy acute-care radiation oncology department
