Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients in the emergency department quickly and compassionately
Deliver evidence-based nursing care including medication administration and treatments
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to create and execute care plans
Provide clear patient and family education and emotional support during critical moments
Maintain accurate documentation, monitor patient status, and ensure adherence to safety protocols
Respond to emergencies and mobilize resources effectively to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Previous Emergency Room or acute care nursing experience preferred
Current CPR certification
Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work per diem night shifts (07:00 PM - 07:00 AM) and adapt to variable schedules

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in emergency nursing assessment, triage, and stabilization
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and precise charting
Skillful in IV therapy, medication administration, and monitoring
Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, teamwork, and crisis-management abilities
