Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments to ensure every procedure runs smoothly
• Scrub and assist surgeons during cases, maintaining sterile technique and anticipating surgeon needs
• Handle and pass instruments efficiently, contributing to faster, safer procedures
• Verify instrumentation and supplies before and after surgery to support patient safety and OR turnover
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to maintain clear communication and seamless patient care
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist certification (CST) required — no exceptions
• Prior OR (operating room) experience preferred and highly valued
• Ability to perform 4x10 day shifts with variable start times and maintain reliability
• Strong teamwork and communication skills within a fast-paced surgical environment
• Active authorization to work in the U.S. (if applicable) and ability to complete facility onboarding quickly

Education

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative procedures
• Proficiency with surgical instrumentation and set preparation
• Familiarity with OR safety protocols and infection prevention
• Efficient, detail-oriented approach to case preparation and turnover
• Calm under pressure, adaptable to variable case start times and OR flow
