Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to students during the after-school program
Monitor and respond to student health needs, including chronic and acute issues
Administer medications and treatments per orders and school policy
Assess students for illness or injury and deliver appropriate interventions
Maintain accurate and timely health documentation and records
Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and parents/guardians
Ensure compliance with school, district, and state health regulations

Qualifications

Active California LVN License required
BLS Certification (AHA only) required
Demonstrated pediatric experience required
Ability to work independently and exercise excellent clinical judgment
Strong communication and documentation skills
Reliable and committed to the full school-year assignment

Education

Graduate of an accredited LVN/Vocational Nursing program (or equivalent training)

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric nursing fundamentals and school-age health management
Medication administration and treatment protocols in a school setting
Student assessment for illness and injury with appropriate triage
Accurate electronic and paper health documentation
Collaboration with multidisciplinary school teams
Basic emergency response and BLS skills
