Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub for a wide variety of surgical cases, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
• Prepare, assemble, and maintain operating room instrumentation and equipment
• Perform routine equipment checks and troubleshoot basic OR instrumentation issues
• Provide direct patient care in the perioperative setting with compassion and attention
• Participate in 24-hour call rotation and respond professionally when on-call
• Maintain accurate counts, document procedures, and support surgical team communication
• Keep the OR work area clean, organized, and stocked for efficient case flow

Qualifications

• Washington State Surgical Tech license (required)
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification (required on hire)
• Comfortable scrubbing a wide variety of surgical cases and working in a fast-paced OR
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call coverage and collaborate with the care team
• Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to sterile technique

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with operating room instrumentation and surgical scrubbing procedures
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, instrument handling, and sterilization processes
• Experience with OR equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Patient-centered perioperative care and safety practices
• Clear communication, documentation skills, and ability to work well under pressure
