Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients to determine functional abilities and rehabilitation needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on restoring maximum function
• Lead educational, vocational and recreational therapy activities tailored to each patient
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, families and the interdisciplinary team to set and achieve patient goals
• Document patient progress, communicate outcomes, and adjust plans as needed
• Provide patient and family education to support independence and safe return to daily activities
• Demonstrate professional, positive communication and contribute to a respectful team environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Current Oregon Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for licensure in Oregon
• Current CPR certification required
• Valid Oregon driver’s license
• Experience and knowledge in physical disability and rehabilitation, general medicine, surgical and mental health concepts
• Strong team communication skills and a positive, patient-centered approach

Education

• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master’s (MS) in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and functional assessment
• Treatment planning and rehabilitation interventions
• Educational, vocational and recreational therapy techniques
• Interdisciplinary team collaboration and communication
• Understanding of general medicine, surgical and mental health concepts
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective patient/family education
