Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care including continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring and interpretation
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing plans
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and document accurately
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and comply with facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in a U.S. state or multistate compact privilege
• Telemetry experience (T-RN) with comfort interpreting cardiac rhythms and managing arrhythmias
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
• Current ACLS or willingness to obtain if required by facility
• Minimum clinical experience in an acute care or telemetry setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN license

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• IV medication administration and infusion pump management
• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting and accurate documentation
• Patient and family education with clear, compassionate communication
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork under pressure

This is a travel assignment based in Rio Rancho, just outside Albuquerque.
