Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams safely and accurately using standard radiography procedures
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment (Philips DR, Konica DR, C-arms, OEC) with confidence
• Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed and maintain your dosimeter badge
• Independently triage and execute imaging requests without direct supervision
• Document exams and patient information in the EMR (Meditech/Epic) clearly and promptly
• Participate in call rotations as scheduled and respond to urgent imaging needs
• Communicate effectively with patients and clinical teams to deliver compassionate care

Qualifications

• Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required by start of assignment (travelers must apply upon acceptance if not already licensed)
• Current ARRT certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a radiologic technologist
• Must have and maintain a dosimeter badge
• Ability to arrive on-island the Friday prior to the Monday start for HR/EH clearance appointments

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography and radiographic equipment operation
• Radiation safety principles and protocols
• Experience with Meditech and/or Epic EMR documentation
• Familiarity with Philips DR, Philips C-arms, OEC C-arms, and Konica DR
• Independent clinical decision-making and workflow management
• Strong patient communication and positioning skills
