Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in the ICU to critically ill patients
• Assess patient condition continuously and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced life support devices safely
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families during stressful moments
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses with accuracy and timeliness
• Participate in rapid response and code situations as a skilled critical care responder

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of California (required)
• ICU experience and comfort with ventilators, drips, and critical care monitoring
• Current BLS; ACLS preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts and provide high-acuity care in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in critical care monitoring and interpretation of hemodynamics
• Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Skilled in IV/drip medication administration and titration
• Effective time management, prioritization, and multitasking under pressure
• Patient- and family-centered communication with a compassionate approach
