Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to pediatric clinic patients, following established standards and scope of practice.
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers to ensure clear communication and coordinated care.
Perform patient assessments and take vital signs to support clinical decision-making.
Triage patient phone calls, prioritize care needs, and route concerns to the appropriate provider or team member.
Manage medication-related tasks including prescription refills and completing prior authorizations.
Give direction to CNAs and schedulers to help the clinic run smoothly and efficiently.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs and promote positive outcomes.
Support providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors, and RNs through dependable clinical assistance and documentation.

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (must be active and in good standing).
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an accredited provider.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Familiarity or experience working in pediatrics preferred.
Comfort supervising CNAs and coordinating with scheduling staff.
Willingness to meet state/federal continuing education and licensure requirements.

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN/Vocational Nursing diploma or equivalent).

Knowledge & Skills

Vital signs and pediatric patient assessment
Triage skills for phone and clinic encounters
Medication management and prescription refill processes
Prior authorization workflows
Interdisciplinary collaboration and clear communication
Patient-centered care and documentation best practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) competency
