Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality peri-procedural nursing care to patients in the catheterization lab
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment and ensure all cath lab equipment is ready for procedures
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver seamless patient care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics, promptly recognizing and escalating changes in patient status
• Administer medications and contrast agents safely, following institutional protocols
• Document patient assessments, procedures, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly
• Participate in competency testing and required screenings to maintain clinical proficiency

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — Cath Lab experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• DCI/BVP certification listed as required
• Nursys verification and license/certificate verification required
• Completion of Prime testing and skills checklist as part of onboarding
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19, TB, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, drug screen, fit test) as listed

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, sterile technique, and cath lab workflows
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and act quickly on abnormal findings
• Skilled in medication administration and contrast/fluids management in procedural settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with physicians and techs
• Detail-oriented documentation and compliance with licensing and facility requirements
• Comfort with competency exams and ongoing skills validation
