Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor Lead and Senior Technologists, ensuring strong clinical performance and professional growth
• Oversee daily staffing and workflow to meet budgetary and productivity goals
• Perform and/or supervise diagnostic imaging procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care
• Maintain and enforce policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, Title 17 & 22, ACR)
• Lead image quality control efforts and promote radiation protection and safety practices
• Coordinate with clerical, nursing, and service engineering teams to ensure seamless imaging services
• Participate in department performance improvement and implement program development initiatives
• Act as a resource for education, problem-solving, and interdepartmental collaboration to enhance patient-centered care
• Monitor departmental function, report service levels to leadership, and recommend resource allocations

Qualifications

• Minimum five years experience as a working Diagnostic Technologist in an acute-care setting
• Minimum two years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting; 3–5 years prior supervisory/managerial experience desired
• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by CA DHS (CRT) OR current ARRT license
• Current CPR certification required
• Associate Degree required; certification in a specialized area (NMT, MRI, etc.) desired
• Demonstrated leadership, strong communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage staffing and resources

• Radiation physics, radiobiology, and radiation protection
• Regulatory compliance: Joint Commission, Title 17, Title 22, and ACR standards

• Leadership, delegation, and conflict resolution
• Familiarity with acute-care imaging operations and interdepartmental coordination
