Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and the cath/IR team during cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and procedural supplies for the cath lab and IR suite
• Operate and assist with imaging equipment such as INNOVA and MacLab during procedures
• Document interventions and patient data accurately in Meditech and MacLab
• Collaborate closely with RNs and providers to ensure excellent patient care and 1:1 patient monitoring when required
• Adhere to unit guidelines and hospital policies while contributing to a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac catheterization/cath lab or interventional radiology (as listed)
• Demonstrated experience as a cardiac catheterization scrub tech
• ACLS certification (required)
• Familiarity with Meditech and MacLab documentation systems
• Experience with INNOVA imaging equipment and IR procedures
• Comfort working in a fast-paced procedural environment and following unit-specific policies

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac catheterization procedures and scrub tech responsibilities
• Interventional radiology (IR) procedures and cath lab workflows
• Cath lab and IR equipment operation (INNOVA, MacLab) and maintenance basics
• Clinical documentation in Meditech and MacLab
• Sterile technique, patient monitoring, and teamwork in procedure suites
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
