Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging studies while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging steps, and address concerns
• Operate CT equipment and modify protocols as directed to obtain diagnostic images
• Monitor patients during contrast administration and respond to adverse reactions
• Work closely with radiologists and the care team to ensure timely, accurate imaging
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic record and imaging systems
• Practice strict infection control and radiation safety procedures
• Help maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and report issues promptly

Qualifications

• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent state certification required
• CT registry certification preferred or willingness to obtain CT certification
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtain upon hire) is typically required
• Prior experience operating CT scanners in a clinical setting preferred
• Strong patient care skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
• Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and adapt to variable schedules
• Compliance with state licensure requirements where applicable

Education

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology or CT technologist program
• ARRT certification required; CT registry preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging protocols
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS and basic DICOM workflows
• Understanding of radiation safety and dose reduction techniques
• Skill with IV/contrast administration and monitoring procedures
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Attention to detail for image quality and documentation
