Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate direct nursing care to long-term care residents
• Serve as assigned charge nurse for your unit, coordinating care and staff assignments
• Float between two floors as needed to ensure consistent resident coverage
• Document resident assessments, interventions and progress accurately in PointClickCare (PCC)
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain resident safety, infection control practices and regulatory compliance
• Communicate with families and care team members to support resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active and unencumbered license required
• Minimum 2 years recent experience working in a long-term care (LTC) unit (explicitly required)
• Experience using PointClickCare (PCC) — listed as a core requirement
• Comfort and experience serving in charge nurse responsibilities or willingness to assume charge duties
• Ability to float between two facility floors and adapt to changing unit needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of long-term care nursing practices and resident-centered care
• Proficiency with PointClickCare (PCC) charting and documentation workflows
• Clinical assessment, medication administration and care coordination skills
• Effective communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment
• Ability to manage unit-level responsibilities while maintaining high-quality bedside care
