Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management and ventilator support across adult, pediatric and neonatal populations
• Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilators (PB 980, PB 840, V60, ParaPac Transport Vent) with confidence
• Perform timely assessments and collaborate with physicians on respiratory care plans
• Deliver emergency interventions including high-quality CPR when needed
• Document patient care accurately using computerized charting and Pyxis medication management
• Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments and care plans with compassion

Qualifications

• State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required by start of assignment
• BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (adult, pediatric, neonatal care)
• RRT preferred; NRP preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exception required before contract start
• Comfortable with ventilator management, airway management and emergency response

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ventilator management and non-invasive ventilation
• Strong airway management and transport ventilator experience (ParaPac)
• Familiarity with PB 980, PB 840 and V60 ventilator models
• Proficiency with computerized charting systems and Pyxis medication management
• Solid critical thinking, assessment and physician collaboration skills
• Ability to care for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients across a variety of acuity levels
