Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate clinical staffing across departments to maintain safe, efficient patient care
• Oversee daily operations during your shift, making real-time decisions that impact patient outcomes
• Coach and mentor nursing staff, providing clear direction and calm leadership in a fast-paced environment
• Manage interventions and conflict resolution with staff, patients, families, and medical teams
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure care plans are understood and respected
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and escalate concerns to leadership when needed
• Ensure compliance with required training and verification processes such as Nursys and suicide prevention training

Qualifications

• Current WA RN license or a multistate RN license (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Completed 6-hour suicide prevention training (required)
• Nursys verification of demographics (required)
• Minimum of 4 years recent clinical nursing experience
• At least 1 year demonstrated nursing leadership experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech is helpful but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical nursing expertise with strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Staffing management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Intervention and conflict resolution skills for staff and patient relations
• Clear patient and family communication with empathy and professionalism
• Leadership and team collaboration to maintain a positive unit culture
• Basic familiarity with Meditech electronic health records (preferred)
