Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Manage mechanical and non-invasive ventilators and deliver ventilator support
• Operate transport ventilators safely during patient moves and transfers
• Perform CPR and respond to respiratory emergencies in collaboration with physicians
• Accurately document care using computerized charting systems
• Manage medications through Pyxis and follow safe medication practices
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment
• Maintain professional standards, participate in employee health requirements, and support unit workflows

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license required (current preferred; applicants with an application submitted will be considered)
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapist experience
• PALS and NRP preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical or religious exception prior to contract start
• No first travel assignments accepted; prior travel RT experience expected

• Mechanical ventilators: PB 980, PB 840, V60, ParaPac transport ventilator

• Strong physician collaboration and critical care communication
