Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate peri-procedural care for EP patients
• Perform focused assessments, administer medications, and monitor patients throughout invasive cardiac procedures
• Accurately document patient status and procedural details in the Cerner charting system
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement efforts to enhance patient outcomes
• Support orientation and precepting activities as directed, contributing to a positive learning environment

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for submission
• BLS Certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (acute care/EP experience preferred)
• Experience working in an Electrophysiology Lab or cardiac procedural area is highly desirable
• Comfortable using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
• Ability to complete 12 orientation hours as part of onboarding

Education

• Active RN license required; BSN not required (BSN = No in posting)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of electrophysiology procedures, monitoring, and peri-procedural nursing care
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills in acute care settings
• Proficiency in electronic charting (Cerner) and accurate documentation practices
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a high-acuity procedural environment
• Familiarity with sterile technique and procedural room workflows
