Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, weekends rotating

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing to post-surgical and critically ill patients in the SICU
Monitor advanced life-support equipment and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver outstanding outcomes
Perform essential procedures including chest tubes, intubations, central and arterial lines, and more
Float to other units as needed while maintaining the highest standards of care

Qualifications

Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
NIH Stroke Certification required
Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability

Knowledge & Skills

MICU and MSICU background preferred
IABP and CRRT exposure a plus
Meditech documentation experience preferred
Comfortable floating between units
Excellent time management and attention to detail
