Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Block scheduling with every other weekend, 1 summer and 1 winter holiday required, standby call required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care for newborns in our Level 2 NICU and postpartum couplets
Attend deliveries as the baby nurse and support families during those first precious moments
Start and maintain IVs while monitoring respiratory support including Bubble CPAP and HiFlow
Flex between SCN and postpartum assignments to meet unit needs and ensure excellent patient outcomes
Assist with umbilical line placement and maintenance while monitoring for conditions like phototherapy, hypoglycemia, and sepsis
Titrate drips such as D5W and TPN to support growing newborns
Collaborate with our 24/7 neonatologist and interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Washington or compact license
NRP and BLS certifications required
Skilled in attending deliveries as the baby nurse
Experience with IV start and maintenance, Bubble CPAP, and HiFlow preferred
Ability to flex between NICU Level 2 and postpartum assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Level 2 NICU and postpartum experience
Respiratory support including CPAP, BiPAP, and HiFlow
Phototherapy, hypoglycemia, and sepsis management
Umbilical line placement assistance and maintenance
Drip titration for D5W and TPN
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
