Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor vital signs and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications and perform essential procedures such as IV starts and blood draws
Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and the full care team to deliver excellent outcomes
Educate families and support them through every step of their child's journey

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact license
Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PICU experience
BLS and PALS certifications required
CRRT experience preferred
APHON certification is a plus
Pediatric teaching hospital experience welcomed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in pediatric intensive care
Comfort working with Meditech and CPN electronic medical records
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
