Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical experience
Prepare and maintain a sterile field and assist the surgical team during procedures
Perform pre-op and post-op patient assessments and communicate findings clearly
Anticipate surgeon and team needs by setting up instrumentation and supplies
Document accurate patient care and surgical events in the medical record
Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical techs, and other care team members to optimize outcomes
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain competency and best practices
Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (active and unencumbered)
Perioperative/Operating Room experience or strong interest in surgical nursing
BLS required; ACLS and CNOR are a plus
Ability to pass facility onboarding and orientation requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Comfort with sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Patient assessment and perioperative monitoring skills
Familiarity with perioperative workflow and OR safety practices
Effective communication and teamwork in high-stakes environments
Accurate clinical documentation and time management under pressure
