Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and act quickly on dysrhythmias to keep patients safe
• Provide skilled bedside care including chest tube management and post-procedure monitoring
• Perform and assist with bedside procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis with attention to safety and comfort
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Meditech
• Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment including remote telemetry systems and Alaris pumps
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maintain appropriate patient ratios and excellent patient experience
• Contribute to unit goals like maintaining high patient satisfaction and supporting quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (state license as required for assignment)
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (telemetry experience is a must)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH certification required
• Advanced skills or training in dysrhythmia recognition and chest tube management
• Comfortable with bedside paracentesis and thoracentesis or willingness to demonstrate competency
• Experience with Meditech documentation and Alaris infusion pumps preferred

• Proficient documentation in Meditech
• Familiarity with Alaris pumps and unit monitoring equipment
