Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic patient care including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and positioning to promote comfort and reduce risk
• Support activities of daily living and encourage patient independence when possible
• Document care and observations clearly and timely in the patient record
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California
• Valid CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfortable with overnight/night shift duties and working independently when needed
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on patient care skills and safe transfer techniques
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
• Basic charting/documentation skills and the ability to follow care plans
