Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during 12-hour night shifts.
• Perform thorough initial and ongoing assessments and report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per provider orders and policy.
• Monitor patients closely, including telemetry and vital sign trends when applicable.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record to ensure clear communication.
• Respond to acute changes and emergencies, escalating to providers and team leads as needed.
• Support patients and families with education, empathy, and clear instructions for care.

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Current immunizations and ability to complete facility onboarding/credentialing.
• Comfort with night shift responsibilities and working independently during overnight hours.
• Previous acute care, med-surg, or telemetry experience preferred but motivated new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and bedside nursing skills.
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy.
• Familiarity with monitoring equipment and telemetry interpretation.
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and care teams.
• Good time management, prioritization, and critical thinking under pressure.
• Basic comfort with electronic health records and documentation.
