Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety at every step
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures with focus and efficiency
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment, maintaining readiness for high-acuity cases
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery and communicate critical findings promptly
• Maintain sterile technique and strict infection control standards in a Level 1 Trauma environment
• Document patient care accurately and timely to support continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required
• Minimum 2+ years of Operating Room experience
• Previous travel experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required; comfortable with high-acuity cases
• Strong clinical competency and skills checklist completion required
• Burn experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique
• Operating room instrumentation and equipment preparation
• High-acuity and trauma patient assessment and monitoring
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Team communication and supporting surgical workflows
• Ability to maintain composure and prioritize in fast-paced OR settings
