Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, focusing on transplant and specialty cases
• Assist surgical teams during procedures including transplants, robotics, total joints, spine, vascular, ENT and plastics
• Maintain sterile field and ensure strict adherence to OR protocols and patient safety standards
• Document care accurately in Meditech EMR to support continuity and quality reporting
• Respond promptly to on-call notifications (30-minute response expectation) and coordinate patient care during urgent situations
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Must have transplant skill set (required)
• Operating Room experience (OR specialty)
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• 3+ years of clinical experience preferred
• Relevant certifications preferred (per unit hiring profile)
• Ability to respond to on-call within a 30-minute window

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing and sterile technique
• Comfort with transplant procedures (kidney and liver) and related perioperative care
• Experience with robotics, total joint, spine, vascular, ENT and plastics procedures
• Proficiency documenting and navigating Meditech EMR
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity surgical settings
• Ability to manage variable on-call schedules and urgent case coordination
